The OSLLC Story
The Olmos Speech Language and Learning Clinic (OSLLC) was founded in 1976.
OSLLC is one of the first private practice clinics in the san antonio area and has been serving the community for over 44 years.
OSLLC currently employs seven speech language pathologists with a combined total years of experience exceeding 200 years.
OSLLC offers onsite, private, individual sessions at the clinic or in a school setting, as well as teletherapy .
OSLLC provides services for both the pediatric and adult population five days a week.
OSLLC services include diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for the following:

Barbara C. Warren, M.Ed., CCC-S,
Speech-Language Pathologist
Barbara Warren is the original founder/previous owner/partner of Olmos Speech, Language,
and Learning Clinic, one of the first private clinics for the
practice of speech and language therapy in the San Antonio
area. She holds a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
from Texas State University. Barbara is certified by the American
Speech- Language -Hearing Association and is licensed by the
state of Texas for the practice of speech and language therapy.
She is a certified provider of the Fast ForWord family of products.
Barbara has over 30 years of experience working with children
and adolescents with speech, language, and learning differences
both in school and private settings. |

Barbara T. Sykes, M.S.,M.A.,CCC-S,
Speech-Language Pathologist, Reading Specialist
Barbara Sykes is the previous owner/partner of Olmos Speech, Language,
and Learning Clinic. Barbara is now an active consultant for the clinic. Barbara has been a certified and
licensed speech and language therapist for over 30 years. She
received her masters degree in Communication Disorders from
Vanderbilt University and earned a second multi-disciplinary
masters from Trinity University in Reading, Linguistics, and
Psychology. Barbara has worked in public school, private school,
university, and private practice settings. She was among the
first private practitioners to become certified to provide
the Fast ForWord family of programs and has administered
them to many students as well as conducted workshops for
professionals. Barbara specializes in the diagnosis and treatment
of school age children with language based learning disabilities,
including dyslexia. |

Phyllis Harrington, M.A., CCC-S, Speech-Language
Pathologist
Phyllis Harrington has worked in the field of speech language
pathology for 20 years. She also holds a secondary teaching
certificate. Phyllis provides evaluations and therapy for
children and adults with language disorders, articulation
and phonological disorders, auditory processing disorders,
pragmatic communication disorders and reading and written
language learning disorders. She has experience in private
practice settings, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities
and schools. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence
in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language
and Hearing Association and is licensed to practice speech-language
pathology in the state of Texas. |

Blair Toledo Vasquez, M.S., CCC-S, Speech-Language
Pathologist
Blair T. Vasquez is the co-owner, along with spouse Eduardo Vasquez, of the Olmos Speech Language and Learning Clinic. Blair is a native of San Antonio with over 26 years
of experience in the field of Speech Pathology. Blair completed
her undergraduate and graduate coursework at Baylor University.
Blair holds a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology;
the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association; and a Texas state license in the field of speech-language
pathology. Blair is skilled in working with the pediatric through
adult populations in assessing, diagnosing and treating speech
and language disorders. Blair’s knowledge of Spanish
allows her to work with Spanish dominant families. Blair has
experience working in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation
hospitals, long-term care facilities, both the private and
public school systems, Easter Seals, Early Childhood Intervention
Program, and home health care services. |

Lynda Breidenbach, M.S., CCC-S, Speech-Language
Pathologist
Lynda has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 40 years with 34 of these years in the public schools and 7 years in a clinical setting. Lynda received her B.S. degree in speech pathology at Oklahoma State University and her M.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in speech-language pathology in the state of Texas. |

Ellen Rush M.S., CCC-S Speech-Language Pathologist
Ellen Rush has been practicing as a speech pathologist for 6 years. Ellen graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned her M.S. degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ellen holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Ellen’s background includes working in skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, inpatient rehab, and in the public schools. |

Andrea Shields M.S., CCC-S
Speech-Language Pathologist
Andrea Shields has been practicing in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for 5 years. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin, and received a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Texas at Dallas. Andrea holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Prior experience includes working in public schools with children from early childhood through elementary school with a wide range of pediatric speech and language disorders. |
